<li>A simple at-home remedy for an itch caused by an insect bite is the placement of an ice pack on the bite, according to Ohio State University Extension. Ice can help reduce swelling around the bite, and it helps to numb the area and reduce the itching.</li>

<p>(2)Don&#8217;t Scratch</p>
<ul>
<li>Although scratching the itchy insect bite might provide instant relief, it can ultimately do more harm than good. According to Tim Gibb, a diagnostic entomologist at Purdue University, scratching the bite may cause it to become infected. This may slow down healing time, making that itchiness linger even longer. It may also cause bleeding and scabbing.</li>
</ul>
<p>(3)Lotion or Cream</p>
<ul>
<li>Apply calamine lotion to your insect bites to soothe the skin and reduce the itching. You can apply this lotion as often as your bites itch. A hydrocortisone cream may serve as an anti-inflammatory, reducing redness around the bite while decreasing the itchiness as well.</li>

<li>Consider vitamins A and E. As humans get older, skin begins to lose its firmness because the skin cells, collagen and elastin begin to breakdown, resulting in wrinkles and other skin deteriorations. Taking a vitamin A or E supplement (such as one that contains collagen and elastin) can help protect against this deterioration. Vitamins A or E along with a few other natural minerals have been proven to strengthen the cells of the skin, thus improving the overall appearance of your skin. However, you should never consume dietary supplements before consulting your doctor, especially if you are taking other medications.</li>
<li>Avoid the use of oil-based substances on the skin. Oil-based substances clog pores and cause acne. Acne can cause ugly scars, thus taking away from overall skin appearance. When using beauty creams, shop for ones that have no oil and also consider looking at ones that have low or no fragrance to them. If you need further assistance on choosing skin care products, ask your dermatologist for help.</li>

<p>We are all warned and cautioned and reminded to wash our hands, but how many of us do it? It’s a no brainer- and it slashes coughs and colds we catch per year by half! That’s a lot! So wash up thoroughly with soap and warm water after sing the toilet, before eating or touching your face, after touching money, doorknobs, TV remotes, telephones or other people, and after leaving a public place.</p>
<h4>2. Use Hand Sanitizer</h4>
<p>There are times when it’s not convenient or practical to wash your hands. You can’t be running off to the bathroom every 5 minutes if you work a job where you handle money or touch a lot of people such as a cashier or a daycare teacher would. So carry a small bottle a germ x with you and use it faithfully. It pays off! A good tip is to get the kind with moisturizing beads in it so that your constant use of it doesn’t dry your hands.</p>

<h4>3. Avoid Stress</h4>
<p>Stress doesn’t actually cause sickness, but when you are stressed out and overloaded, your immune system becomes weak and it’s easier for that flu bug to get to you. So try to stay calm and relaxed and don’t take on more than you can handle. Don’t bother yourself with unnecessary worries. Get plenty of sleep so you feel rested and ready to tackle each day with vigor!</p>

You will feel much more energized and your skin will have a lovely glow. You can get chewable flavored vitamin C capsules that are easy to take and have a great flavor to them!</p>

If you absolutely must use your hands, be sure and sanitize or wash them quickly after. Others will thank you for doing your part to prevent the spread of colds!</p>
<h4>6. Toss Used Tissues Right Away</h4>
<p>This may come as surprise to many of you. Used tissues are the number one breeding ground for bacteria. A cold or flu germ can live on a tissue for up to 5 days if it’s left sitting stuffed in a pocket or a bag. So toss your tissues right after you use them and keep cold viruses out of your way! Use tissues with lotion in them to keep your nose from being rubbed raw.</p>

<p>2. Egg White: Apply an egg white over your face just like a mask covering your face completely. Then let it dry and wash your face with warm water. You can apply this egg mask on every alternate days  if you can’t do it everyday.</p>
<p>3. Toothpaste: You can<strong> get rid of pimples overnight</strong> by applying toothpaste over your face and leave it overnight. Wash it off in the morning and see the results. You can be taken by surprise.</p>
